A neighbor of the disabled man called the police, saying that Chloe, his dog was on the loose. It got out of the house or yard. When police arrived, they Tasered Chloe, claiming that it were a pitbull, although it clearly was a mixed breed that was a trained service dog. Either way, all the witnesses in the area have their eyewitness view of what happened. After Tasering the dog once, the dog got up so it was Tasered again. Police claim that they spent 20 minutes trying to get control of the dog who they say had aggressive tendencies.
Through the whole incident, one of the other neighbors was taking a video that showed the dog was not aggressive at all. As the animal control officer, Arica Bores was gaining control and capture of the dog, Police Officer Robert Price shot the dog dead! At that point, animal control had the situation stabilized; yet the officer thought it necessary to kill the service animal as the neighbors and its disabled owner watched on. Everyone was outraged!! The video of the 12-year old neighbor shows what really happened, even though this Officer Price lied; he said that Chloe 'charged towards me in an aggressive manner and stopped 15 feet away.’ That never happened.
The disabled owner has an active lawsuit against the officials of law enforcement that resulted in the acquittal of Officer Price. Mr. Branson is still trying to get compensation for emotional distress at the illegal and barbaric loss of his best friend, his service and therapy dog, Chloe. Colorado Judicial System and Law Enforcement – This was a brutal and unjust act by Officer Price; yet he got off without just punishment! Of course, he will do it again!!! So many witnesses and a video prove the animal brutality and the lies presented by the officer, yet you just disregard the word of so many eyewitnesses. This officer needs to be punished and you should not hold a blind eye to the errors of any of your officers. This therapy dog was already in the hands of animal control when it was shot dead in front of her disabled owner!!
