Save Rockbridge County, VA Shelter Animals

Over 1000 shelter animals are euthanized every year in Rockbridge County and many of those animals are healthy and friendly or have treatable medical conditions.  We respectfully request that the animal control contract be amended to require that all healthy, treatable, and friendly animals be saved.  We also request that the contract require that the Rockbridge SPCA (or whoever has the contract) post the number of animals that enter the shelter, the number of animals that are adopted or returned to their owners, and the number of animals that are euthanized (and the reason why) on a monthly basis.
