Please help us! We are facing the imminent slaughter of our local deer who live and play in our small rural town! The city of union has made a plan to round up ALL THE DEER that are in our town, in the dead of winter when they are most hungry, throw food out and lure them into one area so that they can bring in a rifleman to slaughter them all!!! PLEASE HELP US!! We all love our deer, we have so many people who have moved to our small town here in Oregon that came here to see these beautiful wildlife animals! This slaughter will kill every deer that lives in our town, including does, fawns and bucks, even pregnant does and new born deer WILL BE KILLED!! Please we ask you to help us, to sign this petition and have our voices heard to end this cruelty! The city has sent out "flyers" in our water bills that PEOPLE DO NOT READ! They just throw them away without knowing the true intentions of our city council. The city is wording it so loosely that people think the deer will just be relocated, when the truth is that these wildlife animals will be rounded up and shot one by one. THIS IS CRUELTY !! THIS IS SLAUGHTER OF INNOCENT WILDLIFE!! We love our deer! THEY ARE CITIZENS TOO! We all love to watch them play and walk around our small town , to see the babies grow up, to be so close to nature and beauty. update:7/9/16:
we are down to the wire now, the next town meeting is in a few days, they are not letting anybody speak up and stand up against the slaughter, threatening to kick anybody out of the meeting who tries to stand up and speak.. This is getting bad, we need all the support we can get to help stop the slaughter.
it was said they are going to have a BLM sharp shooter kill all the deer and once the fawns are old enough to ween off the mother they will kill them too.. This is outrageous and sickening!! It needs to be stopped!!!!
