STOP BALOON RELEASES AT SPORTING EVENTS

The release of 27,000 baloons filled with helium is 27,000 potential deaths of wildlife, including birds, fish, turtles, etc. The releasing of 27,000 yes 27,000 balloons before the race begins. This one "tradition" causes way too many wildlife deaths than is necessary. Not just to that area, as the drift path of these baloons is far reaching in streams and forests and damages many areas beyond their immediate concern as far as the oceans. Please support this petition to stop doing this for each race they do this. It is the right environmental thing for them to do.
