Tell goodreads to stop selling convicted murderer Karen Severson's autobiography!
In 1985 America was left stunned by the horrific killing of 17 year old Michele 'Missy' Avila, a beautiful and charismatic young woman from Los Angeles. After three years it had been discovered that the poor soul had in fact been killed by her two friends, Karen Severson and Laura Doyle. Their motive? Envy over the beauty that Missy possessed and they did not! Neither of these murderers showed any remorse for their crimes. In March 1990, Severson and Doyle were convicted of second degree murder, and sentenced to 15 years to life in prison. Doyle was released after serving 22 years and Severson after 23. It was a shock to everyone involved that these cold blooded killers were free to kill again. Even more disturbing is the publicity Karen Severson has hounded for herself in an attempt to paint herself as the victim! She has authored two books: 𝘏𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴 (under her alias Kay Crayne) and another titled 𝘔𝘺 𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘐 𝘓𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘐𝘵. The second one is available to view on goodreads! I find it profoundly disturbing that this monster is given a platform to speak and I am certainly not the only one! Why is goodreads advertising this? While Miss Severson will not be profiting from this financially it is repulsive not to mention grossly unfair that she is able to give her side of the story when Missy Avila whose life was cut tragically short will never have that privilege. Goodreads must stop stop insulting her memory and her grief stricken family by selling this book!
