Support the Smoking Ban in Virginia Restaurants!

I am creating this petition so we can show Virginia legislators how much their constituents support the smoking ban in restaurants.  By accumulating signatures we will have physical evidence of how much support is behind the ban.  Please sign if you are in support of the smoking ban in Virginia restaurants, together we can make the change!

Please support the smoking ban in Virginia restaurants which was proposed last session.  It is important that we keep restaurants free of secondhand smoke in order to protect non-smoking patrons from its dangers.  According to the American Cancer Society, secondhand smoke is a known human carcinogen; according to the Surgeon General, the elimination of smoking in indoor spaces is the ONLY real way to protect nonsmokers from secondhand smoke.  It is not enough for restaurants to have a smoking section, there is nothing that can effectively elminate drifting.  We appreciate your support on this issue, as we know your earnest goal is to do what is best for your consituents.
