Remove Confederate Monument now!

Erected in 1911, the confederate monument located on the Gregg County courthouse lawn represents a history of human enslavement, discrimination, and oppression. This memorial to a war fought to preserve the practice of slavery has NO place in our community. We propose that it be removed from the public view immediately and permanently.
