Two Million Kangaroos Slaughtered to Produce Expensive Soccer Shoes. End the Cruelty Now.

Every year, two million kangaroos are killed for their leather - more than any other type of mammal in the entire world. All this brutality and slaughter is just so people can sell these dead animals' skin - in particular, for fashion and sports, and especially for high-end soccer cleats.

Luckily, Congress is considering a new bill that would fight this slaughter by banning the manufacture and sale of kangaroo leather products. We must demand that Congress pass this bill now! Sign the petition!

While kangaroos aren't considered an endangered species yet, the large numbers of kangaroos killed is worrying to many conservationists. Experts are worried that these hunts could push the species closer to extinction.

In many cases, these animals are killed in shocking ways that echo the cruelty seen in notorious hunts of other species worldwide, but on a much larger scale. Reports detail how the kangaroos are subjected to prolonged pain and distress, similar to how seals are massacred.

Despite the distressing practices involved, the U.S. remains one of the largest markets for kangaroo leather, with very little accountability for those who participate in this industry. We must advocate for a future where wildlife is respected, and their lives are valued over corporate profits. Expensive soccer cleats are not worth killing animals and ripping their skin off their bodies.

We cannot allow the kangaroo population to dwindle further, just to make sports gear and clothing accessories. Sign this petition to support the Kangaroo Protection Act and demand that U.S. lawmakers take action to protect these remarkable animals!
