Michigan United for Liberty believes that public health can be managed differently, without violating our constitutional rights. Executive orders by Governor Gretchen Whitmer are not reasonable. Her actions during this coronavirus pandemic appear as though she is auditioning for the vice presidential bid, which is bad news for Michigan.
What are a few examples of things we would like to see?
-Restore our right to peacefully assemble while social distancing.
-Restore our right to raise grievances with the government. Hire people to answer the Governor's phones to listen to constituents' feedback.
-Restore our right to freely exercise our religious practices while socially distancing.
-Freeze pay for politicians and government workers until the unemployment site is functional.
-Ensure the sale of "non-essential" items will not be halted as other states are implementing. This is age discrimination; much of the elder population does not have a computer or know how to access the internet.
-Clarify &/or restore our rights to drive to get out of the house. For example, this is vital for the handicapped & autistic communities.
-Restore our ability to exercise our right to bear arms by listing gun ranges as essential businesses, with social distancing guidelines in place.
-Add language to the executive order to protect those is abusive relationships.
-Clarify executive orders regarding essential businesses, particularly in regards to Chiropractic Physicians and Law Offices.
-Allow small businesses to re-open under social distancing guidelines, as big box store are doing.
-Re-open churches for Easter Sunday.
*Michigan United for Liberty does not agree with or consent to our inalienable rights being restricted or rescinded for any reason, including the Covid-19 pandemic. We believe that every American and every Michigander has the right to work to support our families, to travel freely, to gather for religious worship and for other purposes, to gather in protest of our government and to direct our own medical care. Our grassroots group is a place for those who believe in liberty to work together to maintain the freedoms we still have, and to regain any that have been lost or surrendered.
We come from diverse backgrounds and belief systems. Many of us have been fighting for other related causes. Please be respectful at all times. Name calling and divisive comments or intent will not be tolerated. This behavior will cause to be deleted from the group. This is not a place to garner support for another cause or to debate the merits of your particular world view.
