Send Iringa, Toka & Thika to the PAWS Sanctuary Without Further Delay

On October 25th 2011 the Toronto City Council voted 31 to 4 in favour of sending Iringa, Toka & Thika, the 3 remaining elephants at the Toronto Zoo, to the PAWS Sanctuary in California. Attempts have been made by people who want the elephants to go to another zoo to delay the process and even overturn the decision.
We the undersigned endorse the decision by Toronto City Council to send Iringa, Toka & Thika to the PAWS Sanctuary and implore the Board of Management of the Toronto Zoo to comply with the directive by council and ensure there are no further delays in acquiring permits and preparing the elephants to be moved the PAWS as soon as possible.
