Spay & Neuter LAW in South Carolina

Pet overpopulation and overcrowded shelters are an ongoing problem in the United States with about half of the estimated 8 to 12 million animals that enter shelters each year ending up euthanized. 19,500 Animals are euthanized in Lexington and Richland County, in South Carolina, You can just imagine thats just two cities in South Carolina, You do the math .Aside from destroying innocent life, it is a burden of over $3 million to taxpayers! We are paying so much money to euthanize animals when we should have a LAW in order that will later on SAVE taxpayers money.

Facts:
 * One unspayed female cat, her mate and all of their

offspring can produce as many as 11,606,077 cats in

9 years.

* One unspayed female dog, her mate and all of their

puppies can produce as many as 67,000 dogs in 6 years.

* 8 out of 10 dogs/cats  are euthanized in South Carolina

Mandatory spay/neuter laws can conceivably put an end to the pet overpopulation crisis in our country by curtailing breeding among irresponsible pet owners, puppy mills and backyard breeders.
