Florida Senator Marco Rubio, whose last moment of political relevance was being publicly humiliated on the debate stage by Donald Trump, is now making it clear he will compromise our democracy and refuse to accept the results of the 2024 election if Trump loses.
During an appearance on Meet the Press, Rubio refused to commit to accepting the results of the election and instead tried to blame Democrats for trying to disqualify Trump over his election steal conspiracy. "I think you're asking the wrong person. The Democrats are the ones that have opposed every Republican victory since 2000. Every single one…And you have Democrats now saying they won't certify 2024 because Trump is an insurrectionist and ineligible to hold office. So you need to ask them."
Expel Rubio from the Senate!
It is beyond unacceptable for a sitting United States Senator to refuse to commit to accepting the results of our fair and free elections on behalf of a man who has promised to be a dictator on Day 1.
The Senate must expel Marco Rubio and any other Republican who would turn their backs on our democracy, violate their oaths to the Constitution, and enable America's descent into fascistic dictatorship.
