Add your name if you believe that decisions about YOUR body and health are up to you, and not politicians. The overturning of Roe v. Wade and the campaign by anti-abortion politicians to ban or restrict abortion access in more than a dozen U.S. states has resulted in
millions of people being stripped of their fundamental right to make decisions about their bodies and their health.
The Center for Reproductive Rights believes all people should have the right to reproductive health care and bodily autonomy— free from restrictions and bans.
We believe:
- Your right to abortion care should NOT be determined by your zip code, income, or race.
- Restrictive abortion laws, like a potential ban on medication abortion, and other barriers push abortion underground, and increase the rates of unsafe abortion.
- Abortion bans and restrictive laws particularly harm those who already face discriminatory barriers to accessing health care – including Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color, women, those working to make ends meet, members of the LGBTQI+ community, immigrants, young people, those living in rural areas, and people with disabilities.
It's time for politicians to listen to the majority of Americans that believe abortion is essential health care.
