Help make a #FurFreeBritain.
A growing list of UK retailers are fur-free, and we applaud them for that. However, on Amazon UK's website, our investigators have found items described as "faux fur" which, when tested in a laboratory, turned out to be real fur from animals including foxes, chinchillas and rabbits.
A number of items, including "faux fur" fingerless gloves sold for £2.99 and a pair of "faux fur" children's trainers sold for just £11.75, turned out to be made of rabbit fur.
We've reported our findings – including mislabelled "faux fur" trim on gloves, shoes, scarves, coats and hats – to Amazon UK. We have asked them to investigate and to meet with us to discuss our concerns.
Real fur is cruel and Amazon UK should ensure it sells only genuine faux fur.
Please call on Amazon UK to act now to better protect its customers from being misled into buying cruel animal fur.

Dear Amazon UK,
I am opposed to the use of real animal fur. I think fur farms are cruel and I would never knowingly buy or wear such a product.
I was horrified to learn that some of your sellers have been found selling real animal fur but marketing it as "faux fur". This sort of claim could very easily mislead people who wish to avoid cruel fur products.
I ask for your urgent assurance that you will check all items listed as "faux fur" on your website and implement a policy that requires your sellers to test all items they claim to be "faux fur" or "artificial fur".
I am sure you are as horrified as I am about the actions of your sellers. I am asking that they are truthful about what is being sold under Amazon UK's name so that I can be confident in what I am buying from you.
It is a simple, straightforward request, and I trust you will commit to doing all you can to ensure your sellers' claims are correct. Your customers deserve to be given accurate information so they can be sure to avoid being misled into buying items produced from animals killed in terrible conditions on cruel fur farms.
