Recently the Village of Lakemore in Akron Oh. voted to pass a breed legislation law that will require all residents to register their dogs that are considered "vicious" at an increased fee. they have also stated that the owner must have the dog tattooed or microchip-ed and they must send in color pictures of the dog and if they were tattooed the number to the public service clerk or fiscal officer. they are requiring the dogs have a neon green collar and leash you can buy apon paying the fee. also requie the dog to be in a 6" tall enclosure no larger than 15"x25" and if being walked you must be 18 years or older and the dog must be muzzled.
if anyone is found to reside within the village and owning one of the the breeds they have listed the owner is automaticlly given a misdemeanor and the dog is then banned. if the dog that has been banned is found within the village the dog is then put down.
