US Military Members must be provided plant-based MRE options, Now!

United States Military Meals Ready to Eat (MRE) do not provide plant-based meal options. Military members choose to eat plant-based due some reasons such as religion, ethics, and health. When options are not available in field training exercises it diminishes mission success as this is a large performance inhibitor. Many military members are lactose intolerant and a plant based MRE will solve this problem. Many times the military member is forced to bring their own food to the field to self support due to lack of options. These personnel are still charged for the MREs that are provided by regulation. The military has Vegetarian MREs, but these do not cover all forms of Vegetarianism unless they are 100% plant- based.

Immediate action required to change all Vegetarian MREs to be 100% plant-based.
