Don't Develop Point Washington State Forest!

  • van: Save the Walton County Forest
  • ontvanger: Walton County Board of Commissioners, Tourist Development Council, and Florida Department of Forestry

The TDC wants to develop 12 acres of Point Washington State Forest at the intersection of Hwy98/331 for a Discovery Center/office building. 

Tell the TDC, the BCC, and the Forestry Service that this location is unacceptable.

This land was specifically set aside for preservation and plays an important role in our community. We should not develop it unless it is absolutely necessary.

Since the plan has become public, many visitors and residents have publicly voiced their opposition and made a variety of great suggestions for other locations and ways to enhance our community.

Say NO to developing the forest and YES to a project that works for everyone!
