Imagine yourself live in a cage without partner, family and friends especially without having control on your life. Of course, it would be very miserable for you because you even would not have the right to turn on or off the light. Animals in research laboratories are feeling the same helplessness. According to a survey, near about 100 million rats and mice are being killed in US laboratories each year in the name of science.
On the other hand, animals are also treated very badly or inhumanly in these laboratories such as numerous tumors are given to rats, animals are heated at 131 degrees F and tails of mice are chopped without giving them any painkiller. In my opinion, humans are really not acting like humans especially if we look at their cruel behavior with innocent animals.
Therefore, I undersigned this petition demand from US government and other administrative authorities to stop teasing animals especially rats at laboratories in the name of research. I also appeal from scientists to discover alternate ways to conduct researches without using animals.
