Help support stray animals with more funding for Humane Societies in Minnesota
According to Animal Advocates over 36,000 animals were brought to Humane Societies of Minnesota. Roughly half of the animals brought in were put down. Animals were put down if they were shy or had behavioral problems, and because of lack of space.
These problems can be solved. If Humane Societies were given more funds that could be spent on expanding their facilities, to make room for more animals. With a larger budget they could also hire qualified animal trainers to work with the animals with behavioral problems. Therefore this solution solves two problems, the problem of putting down animals because the lack of space and for behavioral problems or being shy, and taking in more stray animals in the community.
