Every day in the beautiful island of Cyprus, tens of cats and dogs are being poisoned in front of their owners eyes. Various organophosphate insecticides dissolved in water, or mixed in pieces of meat are fed to strays resulting to the cruel agonizing death of the animals.
Unfortunately there is no law for cats in the island, except the main welfare law that protects animals in general. So especially cats are left unprotected giving the killers an alibi since there is no ownership proved to prosecute anyone.
Please ask Mr Christofias to STOP the importation of all organophosphate insecticides and VOTE for a cat law to protect the cats of the island.
