Ban plastic bags in Victoria, Australia

It's time we take a stand Victoria. The effect plastic bags have on the environment is enormous.They not only look awful littering the streets but also take 500 years to completely decompose! This gives a plastic bag a long life span to get into our oceans and become lethal killers to our beautiful marine life.

10 million plastic bags in Australia are being used every day, furthermore a massive 429,000 plastic bags are being thrown into landfill every hour, which means less then 1% are recycled. 

South Australia have banned plastic bags and so can we. They are already saving 400 million bags a year and its having a tremendous effect on the environment! Imagine if the rest of Australia followed?
