A seventeen-year old intentionally hurt and could easily have killed this dog, by giving him a firework to catch. The innocent animal, who was inside his owner%uFFFD's house picked it on his mouth, after this man throwed the firework over the house's frontwall straight into the garden where the dog lives. He has gone through surgery and maybe he won't loose his face's bones. But a considerable part of his tongue has exploded and is now missing.See link (in portuguese):

Brazilian authorities do not take crimes against animals seriously. And, worse, since this man is under 18, they will insist on treating him as a "child", which he definitely is not. We do not have enough legislation to protect animals from cruelty in a efficient way. But we have laws enough to get him punished, if only the authorities will take the time and trouble to punish him with the laws that already exist.Please help us change this situation and obtain harsh punishment for this creature by pressing ther local authorities to do their job.
