make declawing of cats illigal as i is in many countries worldwide

This is a horrible mutilation of a cat and it is the cutting of the bone ( compare it to one third of your finger being amputated) not just removal of the claw as many people think it is. Many countries aprox. 30, ie. Britain and Australia will not allow this procedure to be done. Veterinarians will make a lot of money with this practice and depending on the age of the cat and the method in which it is done it can be extremely painful and lead to litterbox issues, arthritis,agression plus no means of defence for the animal. Slicing of the tendons can be even more horiffic and when back paws are declawed as well, the cat cannot even scratch itself.
