Help End Chronic Neglect of Children
The media and public agencies are focused on educating the public about child abuse. While this is a very important task, more than 70% of the nation's maltreated children are victims of neglect.
Neglected children suffer more health problems, social problems and educational achievement problems than others. Chronic neglect can be most devastating to a child's development when it occurs in the earliest stages of the child's life. Thus, chronic child neglect prevention and early intervention are critical to preserving the health and welfare of our children.
This is where American Humane Association comes in. Their National Initiative on Chronic Neglect brings people together to help build our knowledge and strengthen our capacity to help children and families impacted by chronic neglect.
American Humane Association needs your help to educate people about the dangers of chronic neglect. Pledge your support today.
