Demand adequate and equal hospital care for patients on Medicine

Elderly people entering the hospital through the emergency room are not receiving care according to their symptoms. Doctors are ordering a minimum of lab tests. They are not considering the issues brought to them by patients or their families. They are not treating patients without DNR Requests as full codes as they are supposed to. Instead they are asking family members while they delay emergency care. They avoid giving treatment to improve patient’s condition. In some cases they even lie to families. Medicare and some insurance companies offer bonuses for keeping the costs for care of the elderly down. They limit their time in ICU while the doctors act slowly if at all to help the patient. I would welcome a call from Care 2 as I have never done anything like this. And I did witness these things first hand on more than one occasion.
