The stardust circus is the largest animal circus in Australia, travelling with african lions, monkeys, horses and ponies. these animals are kept in small, restricitive cages, constantly on the move. they sleep, eat, 'exercise' and defecate in the same, unnatural area. These animals dont naturally preform the tricks seen in the circus, so they are forced to learn. Training techniques in circuses are not kind, they are cruel and torturous.
There is no such thing as positive reinforcement in the circus, with ‘tools' such as hooks, chains, whips and even electric prods being used to manipulate the animals into performing.
The requirement guidelines for keeping circus animals are significantly lower than those of the same species being kept in zoos, and completely disregard the animal's welfare, allowing this mistreatment of animals to continue freely.
This industry must stop. Cruelty is not entertaining. The circus itself is not listening to our plea's, so its time to cut off everything we can so they can finally hear us.
