From Edem Anthony Etido: I'm a Nigerian citizen who has suffered brutality from the hands of a tactical team in the Nigerian police known as "Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS)" and the brutality measures includes, extortion of cash at gunpoint, verbal threat of killing you at the scene and nothing is gonna happen and worst comes to worst killing you after the threat.
Their radical brutality and extortion of the youths with guns has left the Nigerian Youths with no option than taking to the street and major cities on a peaceful protest which is our fundamental right, but instead of the governments to look into the problems that caused the protest, the same governments have purportedly paid some thugs and touts to come and attack and disrupt the protest, knowing fully well that the youths would resolve to a reprisal attack and doing that would violet the law and order of the country which will cause the government to send in the military to use it's means to disperse the protesters.
I really want this petition to be signed, looked into and it should be given the proper and immediate attention it needs. Alongside signing of the petition, we need some well-meaning NGOs to support us financially so we can push forward on this protest. I use this medium to solicit for funds as to be able to get some refreshments and water for the protesters.
