Induct Ken Stabler into the Pro Football Hall of Fame

  • da: Mike Yokum
  • destinatario: Pro Football Hall of Fame Senior Selection Comittee

Legendary Raiders QB, Ken Stabler is a 4 time Pro Bowler, 1974 NFL MVP, Super Bowl Champion and one of three 1970's All-Decade NFL QB's.

He has better statistics than others already inducted, including Joe Namath and Bob Greise. Sports Illustrated rates "The Snake" as number one quarterback, deserving of induction. Let's make this happen!

Why Isn't Kenny Stabler In the NFL Hall of Fame?

This petition is also mentioned in this 8/20/2014 al.com article:

Ken Stabler Bypassed in 2014 Senior Committee Selection

Here are the career stats for two NFL quarterbacks:

QB No. 1 completed 2,270 of 3,793 passes (a 59.8 percent completion rate) for 27,938 yards with 194 touchdowns (a 5.1 percent rate) and 222 interceptions (a 5.9 percent rate). He averaged 7.4 yards per pass, had a passer rating of 75.3 and led 26 game-winning, fourth-quarter drives.

QB No. 2 completed 1,886 of 3,762 passes (a 50.1 percent completion rate) for 27,663 yards with 173 touchdowns (a 4.6 percent rate) and 220 interceptions (a 5.8 percent rate). He averaged 7.4 yards per pass, had a passer rating of 65.5 and led 16 game-winning, fourth-quarter drives.

QB No. 1 had a 96-49-1 regular-season record as a starter and went 7-6 in the postseason. QB No. 2 had a 62-63-4 regular-season record as a starter and went 2-1 in the postseason.

Each quarterback led his team to a Super Bowl victory, won his league's MVP or Player of the Year Award twice, had a cool nickname and made headlines off the field. They also played for the same college, and their pro careers overlapped by eight seasons.

Which quarterback should be a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame: No. 1, No. 2, both, neither?

Quarterback No. 1 is Ken Stabler. Quarterback No. 2 is Joe Namath.

Namath retired after the 1977 season and was a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 1985. Stabler retired during the 1984 season and is not in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, although he's been a finalist three times.

Well, Stabler fans, we've completed this important drive and it HAS made a difference!
I fully expect Ken to be enshrined in the 2016 class, due in part, to your efforts in making the Senior Selection Committee members aware of this important issue. Justice for Kenny and the Stabler family is at hand! Celebrate your victory!
THANK YOU!

Hello, Ken Stabler fans!
I promise I will not bother you often with updates, but I want to take a moment to THANK YOU for signing AND SHARING the petition! Ken and family are aware of the drive and are VERY GRATEFUL.
Points worth mention:
1. The page has been updated regarding Ken's career and HOF worthiness.
2. The HOF Senior Committee has overlooked Ken AGAIN. We need to redouble our efforts and get this thing done ASAP.
3. PLEASE SHARE this page on your social media!
Thanks again!
