GREAT NEWS UPDATE
Hey KELLY,
Supporters,
Thank you all for your support in our effort to bring the atrocities committed in Lewisburg to light. We reached over 1,000 signatures in 48 hours! We are making a difference in the community of Lewisburg!
The reason this means so much to me, the first dog ever brought into my rescue, Pit Bull Awareness of Tennessee, was saved from this shelter, so this holds a special meaning to me.
The needless killing of dogs, especially of those that had sponsorships and commitments, is beyond comprehension. And this isn't the first time Lewisburg Holding Facility, aka Lewisburg Animal Shelter, has done this. In October of 2011, the same thing happened.
We demand the city answer for its actions and also makes their funding and spending of city tax payers money more transparent. When a city commits such an atrocity as the killing of 13 dogs for no reason, then they should expect to answer and show why they did it.
Again, thank you all for your support in this effort. It's not over yet! Please continue to share this petition so we can have as many signatures as possible by the day of the protest so we can make sure city officials see that we are serious about this and there is worldwide support for answers.
Sincerely,
Ronnie Van Zant
President/Founder
Pit Bull Awareness of Tennessee
