Every Family Counts: Lift the Bar Today

Urge lawmakers to pass the LIFT the BAR Act, which will remove the five-year waiting period that blocks immigrants from accessing critical federal benefits such as Medicaid, SNAP, CHIP, TANF, and SSI. This bill addresses systemic inequities and helps eliminate discriminating policies that disproportionately harm immigrants, particularly people of color. By removing barriers to healthcare, nutrition, and other essential services, we create stronger communities and families where everyone, regardless of immigration status, can have a better quality of life.
