We the undersigned are deeply concerned about the way children of Esit Eket are being treated by some pastors of churches.
We have heard that the pastors label children as witches to scare parents into paying money for deliverance's.
As a result of this the children are abandoned, cast out into the street, abused, starved, beaten, tortured and killed.
These pastors are living in beautiful homes and driving around in expensive cars. If these pastors truly cared, the children would not be suffering while the pastors are living a wealthy life. Pastors are supposed to help not hinder.

Sam Ikpe-Itauma, President of CRARN) just picked her to the hospital. A Naval Officer at forward Operation Base Ibaka yester sent a distress called on her behalf for CRARN to come and rescue. She has wounds all over her body and cannot eat solid food at the moment. Picture taken in early April.
We are asking you to send someone to investigate and monitor the churches to insure the safety of the children.
Please also consider educating the communities on:
1. Ways to prevent child abuse.
2. Ways to prevent children used in forced labor.
3. Facts about AIDS and HIV as for some believe that if they rape a child they will no longer have AIDS or HIV.
4. Ways to prevent child trafficking.
We are pleading with you to insure the safety of the children.
If this continues there will be no future for Nigeria.
