Demand to Stop Killing so Many Animals at OC ANIMAL CARE in CALIFORNIA

  • da: Gulia Erickson
  • destinatario: Karen Ross, Secretary of CDFA; President Craig McNamara, Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr.; The owner of OC ANIMAL CARE

At OC ANIMAL CARE in CALIFORNIA, they kill so many innocent pets on a daily basis that they don't live up to their name "Animal Care". It's more like an animal slaughter house. We understand that some really aggressive dogs who have a history of attacking people have to be put down and there is no other solution to that. But, why do they have to kill so many innocent cats and dogs that have done nothing wrong. Most of them were simply betrayed by their original owners and dropped off at this place like a disposable and no longer wanted thing; like garbage.

The reasons that they have been dropped off usually varies from pet to pet: too old, too sick, chewed up something, did not get along with another pet, no time to play with them, moved to a new place, etc. Lots of stray animals end up there just to be killed as well. Pregnant cats and dogs, and entire family of pets get  their death penalty way to quickly.

On Facebook, some good people are trying to save them by chipping in and pledging money to find rescue groups who could go there and pull them out to safety but more often than not help comes too late!

Just like it happened to this innocent adorable puppy, who was only 1 year old! Why? What did he do to be killed? This is happening in US? This is unbelievable and absolutely heartbreaking. Even puppies get such a fast end in there. Never mind senior cats and dogs with some treatable conditions. Please, put the stop to this senseless slaughter.

When, cats and dogs go through reviews they are understandably scared and nervous and therefore they look not so friendly nor adoptable. Would you feel happy behind those bars in awful conditions with lots of noises and near death? Definitely not.

Please; lower adoption costs so that people can afford to take their new pets home and have a happy lives together.

Please;, give more shelter time for those poor fur-babies to get another chance at life. This is not fair and not right and we hope to see changes in animal welfare.
