Save Mays Chapel Park

WHEREAS, the Baltimore County Board of Education is considering eliminating Mays Chapel Park and building a new school to help to ease the overcrowding of the elementary schools in the York Road corridor, upon the grounds now known as Mays Chapel Park.
We, the undersigned, petition the State of Maryland and Baltimore County to:
1.  allow the Mays Chapel Park to remain as standing; and 2.  place/build the proposed school in another location in Baltimore County.
This will allow Baltimore County Parks and Recreation to continue their use of the athletic fields at this location by the youth of Baltimore County, as well as allow the large senior citizen population residing in Mays Chapel to continue to use this park for exercise and needed socialization.
