help save dogs in syros

We would like to improve the welfare of the dogs in syors and surruonding areas but in order to do so our first step is to gain as many signatures as possible and then go to a higher authourity and hopefully some one will notice how badly dogs are treated on this island in greece.
This is supposed to be part of the E.U so why is there such a big difference between here and a country like england?  where the scale of  cruelty is so wide and mass spread its the norm to see a stray dog or a dog hanging from a tree and all because it barks to much or a yard dog with 2ft of chain so it eventually chokes itself so  please please help us to help the dogs in syros and surrounding islands by sighning this petition thankyou.
