Help End Hunger for Hunger Action Month

For 1 in 6 Americans, hunger is a reality. It's a problem that isn't confined to certain neighborhoods, certain pockets of society or certain people. The millions of Americans struggling with hunger include hard-working adults, children and seniors who simply can't make ends meet.

September marks Hunger Action Month, and more than 200 Feeding America food banks across the nation are asking people to lend a hand. Dozens of national and local events are planned throughout the month to raise awareness about hunger in America.

With Congress considering drastic cuts to federal national programs to help put food on the table for vulnerable children, families and seniors, Hunger Action Month couldn't come at a more important time.
