Trump's Admin Is Refusing to Bring Home an Innocent Maryland Dad Mistakenly Sent to a Dangerous Foreign Prison

The Trump administration has admitted it accidentally sent the wrong person to an infamous, violent mega-prison in El Salvador as part of a sweeping immigration raid. As part of a supposed "administrative error," the government rounded up a Maryland father, shipped him off to be detained in a notorious prison filled with members of various rival gangs on foreign soil - and are claiming that now, there's nothing they can do to bring him back home to his family.

Sign the petition to demand that the federal government bring this Maryland dad home now!

At the age of 16, Kilmar Abrego García and his family fled El Salvador due to gangs threatening their lives. He received permission to stay in the U.S. legally as a protected resident, due to the likelihood of death or torture if he went back to his childhood country.

Once in the U.S., he settled in Maryland, where he built a life for himself. He fell in love, got married - his wife is a U.S. citizen - and became a father to a precious little son whom he adores. Now, he is facing an uncertain future in a massive prison complex known to be one of the most dangerous in the entire world. His lawyers are afraid he will be assaulted and killed now that he is housed with members of some of the same gangs that he had originally fled.

The courts in the U.S. have made it clear that what the Trump administration did was illegal, and must be reversed immediately. First, Trump's people tried to argue - with absolutely zero evidence - that Abrego García was a gang member himself. Then, they admitted that wasn't true and that they'd detained him in "error."

Now, they're saying it's too late - that even though they concede they made a mistake, there's nothing they can do to bring him home. Ever.

The judge overseeing this case has now demanded, twice, that the U.S. government bring Abrego García back to the U.S., but so far, the White House has continued to refuse. It will take massive public pressure to finally convince Donald Trump and his people to do the right thing - but we cannot give up. We have to think of this man's son, his wife, and his personal well-being. They need him to come home.

Help us fight for the safe release of Kilmar Abrego García, an innocent Maryland dad who was supposed to be under U.S. protection. Sign the petition to demand that the Trump administration bring him safely home, now! They won't do it unless we demand it, together.
