Update 22/11/18: 80 people fall sick after eating guinea pig meat

Picture this, your running around with your pals, fun right? The door opens, a person walks in, and your snatched up by this so called "person". The snatching is then followed by a slit on your neck, a pull on the legs and head, and then all is black.

This is a method used by guinea pig meat manufacturers in Peru.

I like to call myself a realist. I'm not vegan, vegatarian, etc, but i do believe that killing such pets is NOT okay, and seeing the dishes animals like Guinea pigs were served on made me rather upset. That is not the mindset i want for anyone else, Dogs, Cats, Guinea pigs, Horses, etc arent animals you find skinned in shops, but are eaten none the less.

I've had said to me recently that killing pets is no more horrific than killing cows, or chickens. Realisticly no, its not, but in my head, i dont believe killing common pets is a good example. Imagine my little brothers face knowing his pets are commonly eaten and sold throughout South America, cats throughout Indonesia, dogs in China, Rabbits through the U.S.A and horses in Europe and Asia.

This is not a very informed text, but the pictures alone scared me. If your not convinced, i might suggest looking up the Yulin meat festival, Tomohon Cat Market, even guinea pig dishes... 

I dont like knowing how they kill these animals, even cattle, chickens and sheep, and dont think Pet Delicacys should be tolerated any longer.

I stated earlier, im a realist, i KNOW we can't stop this altogether, not alone anyway, but i still believe we can make a dent in this cruel economy. 

I do hope for a trip to Peru, to purchase ALIVE guinea pigs to donate to some VERY happy kids and their families, so the Cavy can live its full 8 years.

(disclaimer) I did focus on guinea pigs, im sorry, i love them, but dont think i care any less for any other pets mentioned, im a dog, cat, pig, and pony person, and love them all the same.
