Carousels, children and candy should be far from even the slightest association with the abuse and slaughter of mink.
Starting in 2012, the Danish amusement park Tivoli Gardens and Kopenhagen Fur entered into a three-year agreement. As a result, the Danish fur business will exhibit its products at various PR events, accompanied by an advertising campaign, during the Christmas season for the next three years, both in China and Denmark.
Kopenhagen Fur is responsible for the deaths of 14.000.000 mink each year in Denmark. Mink are wild animals and, if allowed to live a natural life, they swim 80 per cent of the time. Wild animals should not be locked inside small metal cages and kept away from a natural life. It is cruelty, and should not be legal at the start of the 21st century. Quite apart from that, it has absolutely no place in a family theme park. Carousels, children and candy should be far from even the slightest association with the abuse and slaughter of mink.
Kopenhagen Fur is also responsible for the massive pollution of air, land and water, caused by the effluent from the mink industry.
Tell Tivoli Gardens to abandon this collaboration with the fur industry. Please sign this petition to show world-wide disassociation from this despicable deal.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Betina Løvbeck Jensen
