Oppose Ohio HB512 - Demand Educational Accountability

OH-HB 512 proposes the shift of 80% of power and duties from the publicly elected, publicly accountable Ohio State Board of Education to the unelected, unaccountable Department of Learning and Achievement. The members of the DLA are to be appointed singularly by the current governor and will hold power over the guidelines and principles of public, private, charter, and home education; leaving the future educational pathways for Ohio students unstable and uncertain.
