Protect Malaysian environmentalists, save Mother Nature

We express our concern over the arrest of PEKA Malaysia President Puan Sri Shariffa Sabrina Syed Akil and PEKA Malaysia administrator Puan Norhayati bt Shahrom on December 23, 2016 over a Facebook post exposing an environmental issue in Johor, a state in Malaysia.

We wish to voice our dismay over their arrest and our unwavering support for their brave actions in protecting the natural environment in Malaysia.

We call upon the Malaysian authorities to cease any punitive action against environmentalists who highlight issues related to nature. We urge the authorities to work closely with the environmentalists to help save our natural environment.
