Apollo was sent to the Heart of Texas Lab Rescue (HOTLABS) from Killeen Animal Control in Killeen, Texas. Koda and Phantom were sent to Texas Husky Rescue from Killeen Animal Control as well. The dogs were given to KAC by Ashley's roommate who refused to watch them at the time of Ashley's arrest. Ashley has never been convicted of any crime. Ashley was never provided an opportunity to arrange for anyone to watch her dogs when she was arrested. Ashley was unable to pay the $2400 to reclaim her dogs and cats. Ashley was able to raise enough money to save her cats, but these three dogs were sent to rescue. 2 of Ashley's dogs "Cowboy and Scooby" were also recently sent out of Killeen Animal Control. Scooby went to Forever Homes in Kempner, Texas and Cowboy was sent to Texas Tails of Hope in Waxahachie, Texas. HOTLABS has refused to return Apollo back to Ashley based upon accusations and allegations, not upon facts. This is a violation of civil rights of a person's property and is a violation of the Constitution of the United States regarding the rule of "due process" of a person's rights. Texas Husky Rescue initially lied to Ashley and told her they hadn't received her dogs. An open records request proved that statement to be false and Ashley begged them to give her dogs back to her. This resulted in phone calls not being returned as well as them blocking her from their facebook page. HOTLABS did the same and even went so far as to threaten to smear Ashley's name to the world if she persisted in speaking with them in regards to Apollo. Texas Tails of Hope stated that they wouldn't give Cowboy back to her, and Forever Homes still has yet to respond. Please ensure that you sign this not only for these dogs, but also for Ashley as she was truly wronged in this case.
