Representative Neal -Stand Up For Us. Stop Surprise Medical Bills!

When a person with insurance needs health care, they may still end up with an unexpected bill-sometimes for many thousands of dollars. It’s called a “Surprise Medical Bill’. This is a form of corporate theft. Surprise medicals bills have been making people poor for too long. But on January 1, 2022 they were banned under the Biden Administration’s No Surprises Act.
That is why we are surprised to learn that Representative Richard Neal of Western Massachusetts has been working with health care corporations to BRING BACK surprise medical bills. Medical debt has been the number one cause of personal bankruptcy for years. We need a fair deal on health care now, not another break for corporations. We ask Representative Neal to stop objecting to the No Surprises Act and instead, END surprise medical bills.
