Anti-abortion extremists have long tried to discredit and cut funding for Planned Parenthood. But a new viral video takes pro-life propaganda to a new low.

The video claims to show a Planned Parenthood official discussing how the organization harvests and sells aborted fetus organs on the black market.

Though proven to be a fraud, the video struck a huge blow to Planned Parenthood. Popular conservative sites such as The Drudge Report rushed to share it, giving readers a false sense of trust in the clip's authenticity.

The woman in the video wasn't discussing black market sales. Instead, she was discussing the legal donation of the organs to biomedical research laboratories that use them to save lives.

Planned Parenthood offers many health services to women, only three percent of which are abortions. The women's centers provide pelvic exams, contraceptive services and life-saving cancer screenings to hundreds of thousands of women who might otherwise be unable to afford them.
