Demand Split-Screen for Halo 5

For years and years, i have been playing Halo. From combat evolved, all the way through to Halo 4, and I assure you, this trend will not be stopping with Guardians. However, one feature that has remained constant throughout this story, is my affinity with split-screen. Throughout my 10 years of absolute Halo enjoyment, never have I relished anything more than having my mates over for the challenge of a 1 on 1 slayer, the riotous fun of 16-man, 4 Xbox LAN party or the immense camaraderie of a successful legendary co-op campaign run-through. All in the comfort of one's own home, with their mate by their side, and fun had by all.

Now, unfortunately, it looks as if all of these things are to be made impossible in the next rendition of Halo. Never before, have I taken huge note of Halo's graphics - and whilst it has never been a detriment to my experience, they have never been a stand-out. In my view, the stories told in the campaign, and the unique ways in which one can experience both single and multi-player (be it co-op, SWAT, griffball, etc.) are what have made the Halo series far and away my favourite games. To sacrifice this form of game-play, to prevent friends from playing side by side as a trade off for graphics which boast 60 frames per second, would, I think, be a great shame, and frankly alienates the social market, which the previous halo games held a firm grip on.

And so, 343 Industries, I urge you to listen to the fans - a compromise on graphics for our beloved split screen would win you more favour than you might think. Please, re-consider the axing of split-screen. Chief was never meant to go it alone.
