Stop Canned and Trophy Hunts
Join us and urge our U.S. Senators and Representative to crack down on the more than 1,000 commercial canned hunting operations and guided trophy hunts across the country, which allow trophy hunters to kill exotic animals such as Pumas, Elk, African Lions, Giraffes and Blackbuck Antelope. There is neither sportsmanship here nor ethics, only profit for some and ill-gotten trophies and a picture for others at the expense of our wildlife.
This Petition will be sent to the Governors of New Mexico and Arizona, local Authorities, proprietors of canned and guided trophy hunts and be made available to newspapers interested in the matter and to any sympathetic website.
We, the undersigned urgently demand that all measures be taken to stop canned hunts and guided trophy hunts, especially the hunting of pumas, mountain lions and bobcats. The decimation of the big cats for the sake of trophies is unacceptable.
These poor defenseless animals are being killed by people willing to pay for a trophy unconcerned with sportsmanship or the suffering of the animals. Guaranteed trophies equals guaranteed cruelty and the murder of these great beasts.
