In recent years, Boeing has faced severe scrutiny and legal challenges due to fatal crashes and safety failures. This is unacceptable and frankly terrifying, considering the millions of lives that depend on this company's commitment to safety.
The plea deal with the Department of Justice marks a critical point in Boeing's history, potentially impacting its ability to secure future government contracts. Yet, the Department of Defense, a major client of Boeing, is still "assessing" the situation. This is concerning considering the blatant disregard for safety and ethical standards the company has shown. Recently the CEO even admitted that the company retaliates against whistleblowers.
Boeing's errors have had fatal consequences, and its continued mismanagement poses risks not just to civilians but also to national security. Why is the DOD still working with Boeing when the company just pled guilty to conspiracy to defraud the United States?
