I started this petition to bring awareness and hopefully, justice for Macy Kaye who was purchased from a breeder. Her current owners senselessly killed Macy on 5/24/16. The breeder wanted Macy back but the owners claimed Macy was aggressive and attacked them while trying to take her to their vet to be euthanized.
They sent the breeder a picture of her murdered body and offered to cut off Macy's head and send it to her. They also stated, that they put Macy in a ditch so the buzzards could have her. Macy's story is reaching thousands of people all over the world helping get justice for this sweet baby. .
In the future, I would like to bring more awareness about good breeding practices, bad practices, backyard breeding, rescuing and other important matters related to animal welfare to this page. But, right now, we need to take some time to mourn for this beautiful creature. Rest in Heaven Macy.
We want the words "owned by another person without legal privilege or consent of the owner;" removed from Arkansas state statute " "§ 5-62-103. Offense of cruelty to animals" and such acts deemed to be felony's.
