The county recieved grants for many issues that they do not apply the grant money to. Shameful any domestic survivor, with children should have to leave a pet behind, because the shelter doesn't have a placement for the pet. Traumatic enough it is; But to have to break up and leave behind any pets, is seriously allowing the abuser, their mental revenge, against the victims. Shelters should all have kennels, or supplies to create what's necessary to save victims, children, & all pets, that come in need to survive. Pets are so important to a healing heart, no matter what age. It's time to feel it, deal with it, so soon one can heal from it.
