In a shocking crossing-of-the-Rubicon moment for our democracy, Donald Trump's FBI has arrested a sitting judge for "obstruction of justice," accusing her of helping an undocumented immigrant evade arrest.
Judge Hannah Dugan has been charged with obstruction for allegedly assisting Eduardo Flores-Ruiz in avoiding arrest after he appeared in her courtroom last week. Dugan was released on bond after making her initial appearance Friday morning in U.S. District Court in Milwaukee before Magistrate Judge Stephen Dries, according to her case docket. Dugan's "arraignment and plea" proceeding is set for May 15,.

The FBI alleges that Dugan became "visibly angry" after learning that Trump's jack-booted ICE thugs were waiting in the corridor to arrest Flores-Ruiz. After telling the ICE team that they need a judicial warrant to perform the arrest, Dugan allegedly "escorted Flores-Ruiz and his counsel" out the building through a jury door.
Dugan's criminal complaint says she has been charged with concealing an individual to prevent his discovery and arrest, and obstructing or impeding a proceeding before a federal department or agency. These charges are utterly ridiculous and this is a clear attempt to intimidate a member of the judiciary into cooperating with the fascistic Trump regime's morally atrocious deportation efforts. They must be dropped IMMEDIATELY.
