On January 3, 2010 a horse was dragged behind a car in Olympia, Greece, for 2km. The horse was then thrown into a ditch while still alive, screaming and badly injured. The horse's injuries were so severe that the animal had to be humanely euthanized. Even worse, the person responsible for the crime did nothing but laugh and boast about what they had done. In addition, though there were witnesses to the crime and the crime was reported to the police, the police themselves were unfazed.
We the people of the world are writing to you to ask for your help. A horrible crime was committed. A horse was tortured, dragged behind a car, and left to die. Worst of all, the person who committed this horrendous act has not been brought to justice even though they openly confessed. The Greek police also have not been taking this act seriously. The person responsible for this crime needs to face the consequences of their actions and be given the maximum penalty. The deliberate torture of an animal is not something to laugh at or brag about.
Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. Your consideration is greatly appreciated.
